  1. Bubble Boys:

This is a fun simple episode. It basically exists fo the sake of the other episode, but on it’s own it works. There’s some good jokes (“I Wanna float around…like men!”), and the main plot itself gets nin some decent suspense near the end, and i like how the other episode explains why the girls had the idea to lean. Baljeet’s running thing is …fine, it works i think .Doof steals the show here with his plot, especially the song.

I’m still waiting for the full version of that.

Candace’s plot is also fun. So it’s a simple episode, but it has it’s memorable moments. Not my fave, but it works and is good simple fun. 7.3/10. But it’s not as good as…

Isabella and the Temple of Sap:

This episode is really enjoyable. For one, I like how it connects to Bubble Boys, by showing us how that the Fireside girls have their own adventures. The other connections work too like how Candace gets pinky out of the trashcan. But even on it’s own, this is a fun adventure. There’s a lot good jokes from the Hippie Guy to Phineasland and it gets into some fun action with the van in the climax.

It’s a nice balance here as the plot escalates. I also dig the Pinky plot, at least in terms of concept. They make it different from a Doof plot with how Poof is all about looking good rather anything truly evil.

My only complaints are that the song is weak and Pinky has to be the worst agent ever to be get trapped in a trash can, and wouldn’t even get out if Candace wasn’t there. But those things aside, this was fun. 7.8/10. If the Poof plot was stronger it would have been an easy 8.

(Also, i think these episodes work better as they are. It’s fun to see how one story didn’t go exactly how thought it w would and how they explain why certain things happen , just like with Unfair Science Fair. Plus, it allows the plots to each really breath. If this a 22 minute ep, i think poof would be cut or at least one plot wouldn’t have as much room. That’s just me though)

  3. I must agree that the first part of the episode only had a few high points. I wasn’t really into the Country/Western Doof plot, but I did enjoy seeing Candace back behind the wheel, thankfully in a car this time. The bubble plot was just ok (OK!) as well, but it did give us the public art sculpture which shows up a few more times in the series, and later Baljeet gets to mock Buford again about his pixie comment, I think in the Meatloaf episode, so that’s a bonus.

But the best part was definitely the Temple of Sap episode. I love pretty much anything related to Isabella and/or the Fireside Girls anyway, so this episode was pretty much perfect for me. I loved that we finally got to learn some of their names for the first time (too bad it will be another two years or so before we get to the rest of them). That’s something I had been wanting since the second episode of the series. Watching the action unfold and seeing how they all work together and aren’t afraid of anything shows that they are capable of accomplishing anything. At one time there was talk of a Fireside Girl spinoff show, obviously nothing ever happened with that, but I think it would have been awesome to have a show dedicated just to them and their adventures. It would have been neat to get to learn more about them, and if Pinky and Poof had been included as well, that would have put it over the edge.
