  1. I love this one. It’s a really spot of Superhero parody with the Reporter Love Interest that doesn’t see the obvious, and all the gags. The story is still a good one with good moments like when Phineas gives up to save Candace.

All the gags are hilarious here from Doof spending most of the episode doing silly things, to Candace as the Danger-affe, to of course, Bulgarian Folk Dancing. I also love Kahka Peu Peu. Everything is just really funny here.

The only flaw is that maybe the Isabella side is played a bit too straight, so she can seem a bit dumb even though it’s part of the parody. Outside of that, a great and hilarious superhero episode. 8.4/10. It’s in my top 20 but my ratings are more critical.

(I caught the Venture Bros reference before he explained, so good on me)

  3. I don’t remember you guys doing the magic carpet ride episode, did I miss that one somehow?
I’m not sure what to say about this episode. I’m sure it’s because I have never been into all the superhero stuff, but this is actually my least favorite episode of the whole series. I do like the Doof and Perry plot, and Candace and Stacy are great too, but the rest of it just never clicked with me. The Beak’s voice, Isabella’s cluelessness, ‘thank you very much’ (not a big Ben Stiller fan anyway), etc. I just didn’t connect with any of it. I guess it’s just a parody of all the superhero movies, but it was all lost on me. At least it was funny to see that Isabella actually does earn her ‘A-Der!’ patch, as we can see in a much later episode (I think the Bee episode).
