I actually liked the camping trip book-endings to tell the story of The Galactic Guardians. I actually was a bit disappointed that they deviated from the woods to tell the flashback.
The Siege of Serus was one of my favorite episodes of the series. The masters they had for this episode must have been very high quality because it looked like it was in HD. Because of it, the opening looked really good. We also were treated to the improved transformation sequence on He-Man again. This is the first episode I recall that did not use Skeletor and the typical villains. The turn that the meteor is an alien was a welcome surprise. But when it said it wants to consume our planet’s energy, I though, oh, not this trope. But, there was a twist. So, I enjoyed this one overall. It is hokey, but it is still a highlight for this series, as it attempts to tell a stronger sci-fi story.
The Children’s Planet! This is only halfway through the series?! *sigh* I am surprised that Master Sebrian would ever consider blowing up a planet. At least it was an interesting plot idea. I believe this is the episode we see Tuskador, whose character design resembles Peter Venkman from The Real Ghostbusters, which is pointed out on the DVDs. A good episode for this series.
I can’t believe you are hanging with us even through this! Kudos to you sir! Thanks for keeping up with the commenting as well!
I own the DVDs, so this is forcing me to watch them. It will be the only time. ;)
