I’m in agreement with you guys. Thank goodness we had Larry this week to give us a decent episode. It was great getting the backstory of Light Hope and The Crystal Castle. I agree with Kevin that it could have been told without having to be done as a flashback, but it’s a minor quibble.
The kid giving up his dreams to be a baker like his father was odd, I give you that. Weird.
The Mines of Mondor. Great title. Horrible execution. There was so much going on in this episode and it didn’t seem to connect. The animation was partly at fault because it was clear that they were using a lot of stock animation, which caused a feeling that things were just jumping from one scene to the next. But there was just too much going on in this episode and we didn’t realize why this guy was so important. I did like the aging effects used; torn clothes, long hair, beard, etc..
Great podcast, guys.
Oh, and Lookey and Bo aren’t that bad, Mike. At least Lookey is only in the PSAs. :)
