  1. Michael Reeves is one of my favorite animation writers. His scripts are usually pretty good. “Dragon Invasion” was no different. The concept was kind of silly, but I believe on the DVD extras he admitted that the writers were pretty restricted by the restrictions placed on them at the time. Still, the episode is entertaining and there are several things going on that keep the story moving. Skelator was awesome in this episode. Seeing him actually get inside of Castle Grayskull makes this episode a standout. And the moment at the end of the episode with Orko was truly funny. He-man’s reaction and the timing actually did make me chuckle. And I liked that the PSA tied into a theme within the episode again. Rating: 4 Orkos

”Curse Of The Spellstone” wasn’t as much fun. I agree that there was just too much going on and too many plot devices. The Creeping Horak was just awful. It was not needed. I liked that Man-At-Arms’ weather device seemingly turned bad and turned the people of Eternia against him, all the while Skelator was to blame for the bad weather using the power of the Spellstone. So those plot devices were enough, IMO. The animation on the Horak was just terrible as it charged down the hall. Still, I won’t say the episode was terrible. It was just too busy and ultimately, that hurt the episode a bit. Rating: 2 1/2 Orkos

I still need to watch “The Time Corridor.” By the way, since you’re reviewing the episodes in “air date order” which is not the order of the episodes on the DVDs or Netflix, fans can use the following episode list to keep up with the podcast, I’m going to watch most of the episodes on Netflix to avoid jumping around on the DVDs. I like watching them in “air date” order, but it is a bit of a hassle since you have to do more work.

    1. Yea, I too have gone back and forth between watching the DVDs or watching Netflix due to the jumping around. I really wanted to view these as I would have in order as a kid but I realize what you are talking about as well. The only reason I pop the DVDs in are for the fun facts/trivia/bonus features at this point since the Netflix quality is great and easier to navigate. Glad you are listening to yet another one of our podcasts man!!

    2. Thanks for the constant support Tim!!! I actually completely missed this comment at first, because we’ve been having so many TMNT Week comments.

Glad you are watching along as you listen.

  2. I have to say I love this. I listen to the first ep and enjoyed myself that I didn’t even realize it was 2 hr and 10 mins. I like the format. I like the host. While I don’t listen to mask cast because I’m not a fan of anything but the theme song, hearing solo on this makes me wonder about telecast. Please return my fav cast from the geek cast network to me. I need my telecast fix.

The only nit pic I have is reviewing them in air order rather than actual order. This is a small nit pic for me though because I’m currently on ep 30 so being ahead I can look back at what I just watched without being confused. TFGI don’t ever feel weird about crying due to nostalgia as mentioned in ep 1. In the space series ep 1 I shed a few tears seeing heman pull out the sword and say “I have the power” during the first battle with the mutant. I’ll talk more about that when you get there.
