  1. Well I just listened to the podcast, and no I will not be screaming or yelling….LOL I feel that with Year One it was supposed to be a tribute to the ’40’s art style. TDKRS is supposed to be a love letter to the 80’s. With the whole news/media talk show blitz. Well that’s the 80’s for you. How the news was trying to keep up with the times for a more “hipper,” audience. Which explains the graphic T’s. The fire line chats, and how David Lettermen and Dr. Ruth were the biggest things since sliced bread. Frank Miller is a angry man, and he shits on all the 80’s. I’m guessing it’s not his favorite decade. Bobby and Mary are supposed to be the Cabbage Patch Kids. As for the alternate time line…I always thought it was D.C.’s answer to Marvel’s What If… comic series. Frank Miller always thought that Superman and Batman would not see eye to eye. The mutants are supposed to be the 80’s punks I got that. I’m glad that this was a comic because it needed to be visual. However, Gordon retiring and a new commissioner coming in…want to play that two days left to retirement music. I believe Bruce is supposed to be 50 years old, and Alfred 80 years old. This is supposed to be Batman INC…before it became a comic. However I didn’t like Selena becoming a Madam. Carrie Kelly as Robin works…just her wearing that outfit…looks like jailbait. Although I always said that about the original boy wonder. They should have worn pants instead of shorts…just saying. Finally in regards to Joker Vs. Batman…it’s a aging rocker coming out of retirement for one more concert. Sadly they make it where Batman has lost control…untrue. Joker killed 600 people, before being sent to Arkham. He kills 208 at the Talk Show, and maybe a 100 or so more at the Carnival. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD WANT TO TAKE JOKER DOEN BY THE “FUCKING,” BOOK? I think Batman did kill him, and the whole Joker breaking his neck was in Batman’s mind. Why else would the body be burned? Probably because Batman doesn’t want an autopsy to reveal the truth. All in all, it’s visual and never boring…answering a lot of 80’s situations. The Cold War, the punk phase, cabbage patch kids, the news changing, I love the 80’s…and I love this film. I give it five Bat Symbols.
