My rating for Gotham is a 2 out of 5. It has had some moments, but on the whole it just fell flat. I like the actors and even the characters to a degree, but the overall stories just got in their own way. You both make some great points. Jeremy made some good points about the characters, and I liked his analysis of Nigma. Gordon being at Arkham went nowhere. The Dollmaker storyline also was a waste. And Phish got shot escaping but we see her later and she’s as good as new. It tries to be a serial yet comes off as an episode of the week. In many ways it was just another cop procedural, but with Batman characters, which was my analysis and argument against the show in the beginning. I’ll be dropping it next season unless my wife wants to continue on with it. I think it has maybe one or two more seasons in it anyway before it gets cancelled.
I’ll give G S2 at least three eps but if it goes nowhere in S2 I’ll leave Gotham far behind and head to National City with Supergirl.
