I was not a huge fan of the majority of season one of Arrow. It was rough around the edges till about the last few episodes or so. Season 2 was much better and season 3 is even better.
As I said in the podcast when I watched the season as it aired I felt that way. Rediscovering it to record this… I found myself liking S1 more and more. But I agree S2 is much better.
Somewhat confused by the question. It pertains to Season 2 but this podcast is about season one. Is that meant to be like that?
LOL no sorry, fixed it. MEANT S1. Sorry.
okay cool. I’d go with Diggle then. I like his arc the best and as an actor he is the most consistent.
yeah love his character!!!! I feel like I’ve seen the actor in other things, but can’t remember where….
SORRY ABOUT THE CONFUSION, WHEN THIS POST WAS FIRST PUBLISHED! I meant S1 not S2. And I’ve fixed it.
Great episode guys. You all should talk about Arrow every week.
glad ya liked it! Thanks for listening. I’ve tried a weekly tv podcast where we talk ep by ep and it’s wayyy too much work. The “Season Pass” format is more free flowing and fun for me. Stay Tuned though Arrow S2 is next week’s ep
My favorite is Malcolm Merlyn. Did not think that character would work at all but the actor was fantastic. Very cool ass villain. I might have liked him more than Slade in season two believe it or not.
awesome thanks for listening. Yeah I liked the Dark Archer part of malcom, but the rest meh, but it was very cool to see him work well with the story.
So what part of his character were you not a fan of?
The way he treats Tommy for one, the fact that he thinks destroying the city is saving it. I guess with the way he treats his son… ends up being a “good” thing, because Tommy becomes a better man. However that isn’t any excuse for the way he treated him.
Doesn’t that fit in his character though. He’s like Apocalypse in that only the strong will survive. He is not meant to be a good guy. He is meant to be a villain. If he didn’t have those qualities you wouldn’t have any type of rivalry.
that’s true but even villains treat their children well. Some of the time anyways.
