In Episode 07 of Studio 2009 join TFG1Mike and Steve Megatron as they talk about the fact that not every movie needs a sequel or it’s own film universe. It is ok if films are made to be one and done. This podcast exists because of listeners like you!

The Studio Asks You: What are some movies that you felt needed a sequel or didn’t need a sequel?

UNLEASH THE GEEK IN YOU!!
I agree not every movie needs a sequel. I don’t think the Poltergeist movies needed two sequels. You know what does? Speed Racer! God I love that movie! It was great. The tv show come to life. Might be the greatest adaptation ever made!! All the Jaws movies are great!
The Roger Rabbit sequel will never happen. Ok what I mean is if it does happen it won’t include any WB characters. And that was a big part of it. I think it’s just obvious that these two companies don’t like each other. I mean WB produced the clone wars movie and the WB shield is missing from the Disney+ version(though I’m sure that’s a legal thing)
Hmmmm….. were all the jaws sequels great though???
Yeah the mouse and the brothers Warner were always in direct competition.
Like I said in the ep if you wait too long in some cases (dumb and dumber) a Sequel just doesn’t work, at least not for me.
Thanks fer listenin’
Jaws IV The Revenge is amazing and everyone should watch it. It’s one of my favorite comedies.
Not all the Jaws movies were good. Beyond #2 it got to be meh. I’m not a huge fan of a lot of series for the most part but in some cases it can be made for sequels. Waiting too long kills it though.
