Hello all and welcome back to TFG1Mike 365! It’s Day 11 of 2023!!! New Year brings new hopes and dreams to all of us I think. In case you haven’t read any of my blogs before, you can find all the blogs over at FROM THE DESK OF TFG1Mike! Normally my goal with this series is to wake up each new day, and find something on the internet, or in real life to write about. Starting off 2023 with the first Funko entry for the year!
My collection has grown exponentially since 2017, and even more so since that 2019 write up. I still am only collecting characters I love, but apparently I love a lot of characters! I even got my lovely Karen into the characters that she loved! One of our funniest moments together was when she impersonated Cousin Itt from The Addams Family! She was the best ever!!!
Funko Pops are my kinda collectible these days, because as I’ve said on many podcasts, I just want the characters I love represented. I don’t need them to “TRANSFORM” or have action features! They are representations of characters I never thought there’d ever be toys of, and well here we are with so many of my favorite characters in toy form!
Before Karen passed in November of 2021, she was in Wal-Mart on one of our many trips there, and Found the Pop Ride Christmas Vacation Clark Griswold in Station Wagon! It is the only pop she ever found on her own without me being in the store, and I love that she was on top of things with this!!!
I’ve slowed down in my Funko pop buying, and I’ve become very selective. I currently as of this writing have 267 Funko pops, some are still in storage at my Dad’s place, but I have most of them here in my new 1 bedroom apartment! I need to get some shelves and stuff to get them displayed properly.
