  1. Now wait a cotton-pickin’ minute! This is NOT the shortest ever episode of Animation Aficionados. Listen to episode 1. They were REALLY SHORT before I started editing them. Muahahahaha!!

  2. I pretty much agree with the criticism on this one. Since I didn’t read the comics, I was looking forward to getting that awesome story people were talking about. The actual Doomsday action, and the title of the movie, was only a small part of the movie.

I like the idea that one of you said about having Doomsday come back, and Superman would need the help of his clone. That would have been a better story.

My gripe comes from the commentary. They said that they were trying to make it more dark and gritty. So some of the violence, particularly Mercy’s murder, felt thrown in for shock value. It made no sense that Lex would turn on her, despite how evil Lex is. For that to work for me, there would need to be some build up and follow through. If Lex was having a mental breakdown like clone superman was, then it would make sense in the story. Don’t get me wrong, I love a mature film, but it has to be written well.
