  1. Beasts of No Nation was a surprise for me. Great film don’t get me wrong. When I think favorite though its not a movie I would think of I guess. Favorite to me is like a movie I can watch over and over. A movie like Beats of No Nation is too powerful for that.

    1. I guess I am the complete opposite of this! To me I would much rather see and I would weigh much more heavily an extremely powerful film that can affect me to the core over a film that’s re-watchable. I also do find films like that more re-watchable than most on average which may be weird I know. I’m somewhat lacking emotionally overall as a person as trauma at a young age left me somewhat emotionally numb so a film that can break through that gets a lot of extra points personally in my book. Also, I think genre plays too large of a role in whether a film is re-watchable or not so for me it doesn’t weight into my rankings much at all. I know I’m in the minority for most of this though! (You’ll see more like this moving forward in my countdown, so my apologies in advance!)
