  1. I agree that Kingdom was the one of the three parts in the series that I enjoyed the most. It was a fitting conclusion. It seemed more was packed into these episodes, as well.

It would be good to go back and re-watch the series in its entirety now. Because, while I enjoy continuity driven stories, it can be difficult to keep track of what has happened after several months or years have passed. I kinda miss just sitting down and turning my brain off for 20+ minutes to enjoy a single good story without having to make a major time investment.

My one complaint is that, like you, I did not enjoy Predacon Megatron here. The voice work didn’t have to match Gary necessarily, but it just didn’t elevate the character to his rightful status. But then, he had little character in this series. I mean, just being an absolute unabashed follower/worshiper of Megatron? Very strange. They didn’t go off-script with other Beast Wars characters, so I don’t know why there was such a drastic change here. Perhaps just so that we don’t have the two Megatrons warring against each other, which might have gotten in the way of the other plots? It just didn’t seem appropriate to have one completely give in to the other when they are both such strong characters that essentially can’t follow anyone’s lead.

Favorite characters from part three were Optimus Primal, Air Razor, and Starscream. Primal took the lead. The voice actor playing him also did a great job. I thought the voice fit him perfectly. Air Razor was just outright cool. Love the character design, too. And Starscream actually pulled a bit of a surprise here. Plus, the nod to the crown in that hallucination was great.
