Time Displacement!!
Hello all and welcome back to TFG1Mike 365! It’s Day 10 of 2023!!! New Year brings new hopes and dreams to all of us I think. In case you haven’t read any of my blogs before, you can find all the blogs over at FROM THE DESK OF TFG1Mike! Normally my goal with this series is to wake up each new day, and find something on the internet, or in real life to write about. Continuing on from yesterday’s topic, let us talk about Time Displacement shall we? Here’s my time displacement thread on twitter as a refresher:
Time Displacement:
From 2019 to 2022 I lived in the Pacific time zone, the first time I’ve ever lived in that time zone. That time zone is 3 hours Behind the eastern time zone……

Yeah time displacement is a thing! I grew up in Massachusetts on Eastern Time, although in my nearly 43 years on this planet, I’ve lived in every US Time Zone except mountain time. And I just have to say Eastern and Pacific time are the two best zones, Central time is the worst!! Why would you wanna watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy at 3 and 3:30pm CT?? That’s messed up!!!! For me in the Eastern Time Zone it was always Oprah at 4pm (all times eastern)… my mom was watching Oprah, then there was the 5, 5:30, 6, and 6:30pm news broadcasts, after that is when WOF and Jeopardy should be watched between 7 and 8pm!! And after that was primetime TV. OK I’m ranting now, but the point with the time zones was and is … getting used to them is weird for me. I live in Pacific Time from 2019-2022, that’s three years of being behind everyone else!! Now I’m back living in the Eastern Time Zone, but my internal clock is still erasing the Pacific time that’s in me.
So when I say Time Displacement, that’s what I mean, I feel as if I’m displaced in my own time zone! I’ll wake up bright and early to get an early bird catches the worm kinda feeling on the day, and then the next thing I know it’s 4pm and I’m ready for the early bird dinner special at “insert restaurant here”!! It’s the whole it’s only this time? or how late is it in the day?? Time is unrelenting at times! But I guess it’s all relative!
I’ve kinda failed at the daily blog thing already, and 2023 hasn’t even really begun yet. However I’m trying my best, and right now that’s all I can do. So it’s time for me to catch up on the time I should have been writing for tomorrow’s entry!!!
