  1. You were much more kind to Street Fighter than I was expecting. I did not expect anyone to give a score about a 4 going in. It could have been a character focused movie about people who put themselves into risk in street fights for glory/get stronger/adrenaline/self improvement/insanity or that even don’t know why they do that and live in the underworld of clandestine fights, drugs mysticism and maybe even small countries ruled by dictators.

but… it was the 90’s and they wanted yet another action movie

    1. Maybe we were much more kind because we had just been through Super Mario Bros and Double Dragon?

      1. If you compare Street Fighter to those two I agree its much better. I actually really like the first Mortal Kombat movie so I am looking forward to what you guys have to say about that.

    1. They should have just made it a tournament fight movie. That’s really what many would expect from a Street Fighter movie, fighting. They could have basically made it like Blood Sport or any other numerous tournament movies. At least the people behind the Mortal Kombat movie were smart enough to just copy the basic plot of Enter the Dragon.

          1. Ah, I see. Just wanted to make sure you were listening is all ;)

  3. The history of this movie is also crazy. At one point they almost changed it to a GI Joe movie after they already started filming. I’m surprised it is not worse than it is.

    1. I longed hope for a directors cut that showed all the blood and guts they originally wanted to go for.

    2. Really I was not aware of that? I could see how this could easily become a GI Joe Movie
