15 Years Of All Things Transformers!
Hello all and welcome to a NEW Daily Blog series from me… TFG1Mike! The idea here is for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. From January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023. In my 221st entry, I’ll be giving an insider and outsider’s look into a podcast here on The GCRN! Fifteem Years Ago today Steve/Megatron Phillips debuted ALL THINGS TRANSFORMERS!!
This is and was Steve’s brain child. However over the years we have shared in the podcast duties.
Steve started with Episode 01! This was an eight minutes or so test run I guess! After that Master Galvatron had his debut in Episode 02! (Whatever happened to HIM?) Maybe it’s best we not answer that question….
By Episode 08 where Steve was by himself… I felt I had to step in, you can hear that HERE! So in Episode 09 I make my ATTF debut! It’s funny listening back to ATTF Ep 09, because I say in that, that I’ve never read many if any of the Transformers comics, and now 15 years later I’ve read a lot of them.
Just as I did with the 10 Years of Altered Geek write up, I’m only gonna highlight various eps throughout the run of the podcast. This is where ATTF v2.0 started with a renumbering! Here’s Episode 01! and Episode 02! Wowzers I had forgotten that OptimusSolo had joined us that early in the version 2.0 days, fun times! Then in ATTF Version 2.0 Episode 11, we had the quartet together! Steve, Me, Kevin, and Michael Wilson as we discussed Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon! From February through July of 2014 we celebrated the 30TH ANNIVERSARY of TRANSFORMERS with 8 podcasts covering various Generations of the franchise to that point! You can listen to all those episodes HERE! We also did a 5 part series with some TRANSFORMERS Countdowns you can listen to ATTF v2.0 Episodes 044-048 HERE! Frag that was nearly 10 years ago we released those, and now we are coming up on the 40th anniversary, and soooo much more has happened in the world of the TRANSFORMERS since then!

Those interviews/conversations were so fun!!! There are so many more of them that we have done over the years, but I was trying to focus on the ones that were ATTF specific.
From September 2016 to current we have 27 TRANSFORMERS ORIGINS episodes! We ask 30 questions about any and all guests’ Transformers Fandom! You can listen to all of those HERE!
In 2017 with ATTF Version 3.0 we did a REMEMBERING RODIMUS A Dick Gautier Tribute, what a time that was… He is sooo missed, you can hear that HERE!
In 2018 we had the FATHOM EVENTS TRANSFORMERS Panel with me, Jesse, Ryan, and then Aimee, Nicole, and Heather! You can listen to that HERE! These conversations are great, and I’m loving going back and hearing everything we’ve done in the 15 years ATTF has been online!
In 2021 we did the TOP 100 TRANSFORMERS CHARACTERS COUNTDOWN! Phew what a project, and what an experience! You can listen to all 6 parts, read my 100 Hours blog entry, and check out all of the awesome 33+ contributors we had on this EPIC TRANSFORMERS project right HERE!
In 2022 we did our TOP 20 TRANSFORMERS THEME SONGS! That was fun!
In 2023 we entered THE WINTER OF BAYHEM! As Steve and I covered all the Michael Bay Live Action Transformers films, including the Travis Knight directed Bumblebee! There are plans to cover Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Soonish!
As I’m writing this without Steve’s input, I will say that I think he has crafted a podcast that is truly his style, and even though at times he may not feel that way, I can safely say that he is the one and only COMMANDER CLASS of ALL THINGS TRANSFORMERS! I hope this helps him forge the next fifteen years of the podcast as I’ll always be a long for the ride! At least I think I will…..
