Hello all and welcome to a NEW Daily Blog series from me… TFG1Mike! The idea here is for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. From January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023. In my 192nd entry, I’ll be talking about Black Stone Cherry’s second single coming from the new album Screamin’ At The Sky. This is NERVOUS!!!! And I feel these lyrics all the way down to my core!
First things first, you can read the lyrics to the song HERE! Secondly WOW! These guys are kickin’ ass and taking names! Nervous will be the second track after the title track kicks things off. (We’ll talk about that title track in a few days!) The drum beats and guitar licks on this track are HEAVY! Like HARD ROCK heavy, and the lyrics are emotionally charged! The way that Ben, Steve, John Fred, and Chris bring this tune to us, it’s like an explosion of musical notes with that Raspy Robertson voice we all know and love. It feels like Chris Robertson is really screamin’ at the sky here. The tune is just killer! My favorite lyrics from it are:
“I’m not perfect, just a person
And I stay fucking nervous!”
It tells a story about well being NERVOUS, and whether or not anyone is listening. I can relate to that a lot!
As I stated I FEEL these lyrics in my soul, but I’m so not NERVOUS to listen to #BSC8 Screamin’ At The Sky this September 29th, 2023!!!
